Introducing the Ladaniva T-shirt, designed by Menno Deen! Named after the Lada Niva off-road SUV, Ladaniva is a French-Armenian world music group from Lille. The duo, comprising singer Jaklin Baghdasaryan and multi-instrumentalist Louis Thomas, draws inspiration from diverse musical traditions.
Their hit song "Jako" embodies Baghdasaryan's assertion of her "right to think freely and to be whoever she wants to be." Originally released on 29 September 2023, "Jako" represents Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
The print design situates the performers on the car taken from their music video.
"Jako" was written by the duo alongside Audrey Leclercq and produced by Jasper Maekelberg. The title is derived from Baghdasaryan's nickname, symbolizing her defiance against societal norms. It's a call for girls to embrace their true selves, rejecting imposed limitations.
The duo's selection for Eurovision was internally chosen by AMPTV. On 9 March 2024, they were officially confirmed as Armenia's entrants, with "Jako" unveiled on 13 March.
